Talia Perrins, LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) earned her bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University in Social Work and completed her graduate program in Social Work from the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. in 2021. Throughout her education, Talia focused on working with those struggling with anxiety, childhood trauma, depression, self-esteem, experiences of homelessness, and unexpected life events including grief and loss. Talia completed EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy training with Deany Laloitis at the Center for Excellence in EMDR Therapy.
Talia believes that no one should tough out life problems on their own. Everyone deserves to work through and find inner strength and peace as it is easy to dismiss suffering and face the consequences down the road. If you feel you have dismissed this suffering however, it is never too late. Your well-being is most important. Choose today to seek help.
In practice, Talia believes that successful therapy comes from healing both the mental and physical symptoms of the body. Talia incorporates techniques such as proper breathing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and mindfulness.
Talia knows it takes a lot of courage to take the first step towards getting help. She also knows that the relationship between her and her clients is not a “one size fits all” and will be dedicated to you as a unique individual.
Talia is under the supervision of Cathy Canfield, LCSW.
