Job Title: Contract Psychotherapist (1099)
Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Psychotherapist to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Master’s degree in a mental health-related field and possess experience in providing psychotherapy to diverse populations. We value the importance of work-life balance and offer flexible hours to suit your schedule.

Clinical interns who are in the final stages of their graduate training may also be considered on a case-by-case basis, provided they have substantial supervised clinical experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide child, individual, couple, and/or family therapy to clients, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • Conduct initial assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with practice standards.
  • Participate in case consultations and team meetings as needed.
  • Stay current with best practices in the field of psychotherapy and engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Manage your own caseload and schedule, ensuring timely communication with clients and the practice.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum of a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Licensure: Current and valid licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in the state of Virginia. Provisional licensees or pre-licensed clinicians may be considered with appropriate supervision.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience preferred. Clinical interns may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Skills: Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
  • Technology: Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
