Master of Social Work

Liora Bernstein, MSW, creates a warm and inclusive space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and connection.

She works with children, teens, young adults, and families, with a particular interest in supporting clients through anxiety, depression, and relational challenges, while fostering social-emotional growth and overall wellbeing.

Liora believes that healing happens in relationship with ourselves, with others, and with our communities. She draws on strengths-based, trauma-informed, and play-based approaches, weaving together cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic theory, and attachment-based frameworks to meet each client where they are.

She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California, where she developed a holistic lens for understanding individuals within their families, communities, and broader social contexts. She is currently completing a Certificate in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health from Georgetown University, reflecting her deep commitment to supporting the earliest and most formative stages of human development. Liora holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from The George Washington University, and is excited to be back in DC after 5 years in Los Angeles.

Liora believes that every person carries within them the capacity for growth and resilience, and she is committed to supporting clients as they discover and strengthen that capacity for themselves. She holds a particular conviction that all children possess extraordinary potential, and that with the right support and environment, every child can flourish into who they are meant to become.

Liora is under the supervision of Michaela Spaulding, LCSW.
