Simran Khadka

Simran Katwal, MSW, Supervisee in Social Work, has a specific interest in helping women who have symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Her interest in integrating eastern philosophy with western psychology led her to working in a field to help clients cope and heal from difficult issues in their lives through a holistic approach.

She focuses on helping clients identify the source of their anxiety or depression, therefore helping clients feel symptom relief in the short and long-term.

Simran graduated from George Mason University with her Masters in Social Work. Since graduating, she has experienced working in various settings from inpatient hospitals to community mental health.

She enjoys helping others by utilizing strength based approaches, CBT, and ACT to help clients reach their needs and goals.

When not in the field, Simran enjoys binging reality TV shows, searching for the best Mo:Mo in the DMV, hanging with her friends, and playing with her cat.

Simran is under the supervision of Cathy Canfield, LCSW.
