Keith Brailsford

Counselor in Training

Keith Brailsford is completing his Master of Clinical Mental Health from Southern New Hampshire University as an Internship Supervisee. Keith looks at life as a series of ‘endless possibilities’ verses placing blame on oneself or others. He engages evidenced-based, Solution focused brief therapy (SFBT), to empower individuals, couples and families to set achievable goals, to replicate times in their lives when things worked well, and to ask and answer the ‘Miracle Question’.  He also works with groups, including professional and government employees, centered around anxiety and stress.

His additional theoretical approaches include cognitive behavioral theory, person-centered theory and mindfulness, to provide clients with a holistic approach to life stressors, from anxiety to depression to trauma.

Keith is a strong believer in all aspects of self-care, (e.g. emotional, physical, spiritual, financial), as a way for individuals, couples and families to achieve a balanced and meaningful life.

Keith’s former work roles as a military journalist and as a Human Resources Manager for an International IT company, visiting 40 countries, has given him a broad, multicultural perspective that there is ‘goodness’ in all people. His mantra as a counselor is to both recognize and embrace our cultural differences.

Keith is under the supervision of Terra Dominguez, LCSW.
